Armoured Vehicles for Operations in the DRC

Safe movement is often what decides whether an operation can run at all. Secured Risk Group DRC sources and delivers certified armoured vehicles, working with manufacturing partner TAG Dynamics, for organisations operating in some of Central Africa's most demanding environments.

We supply government bodies, humanitarian agencies, mining and energy operators, diplomatic and corporate clients, and private security teams who need serious ballistic protection without giving up drivability, performance or a low profile.

Every vehicle is engineered as a complete protective platform, not a standard vehicle with armour added on. The result is mission-ready protection that still drives like the vehicle it was built on.

Platforms available

  • Compact armoured personnel carrier

    Terrier X & LT79

Built on the proven Toyota Land Cruiser 79 chassis, the Terrier series offers ballistic protection up to CEN B6 in a compact, agile package suited to patrol, escort and tactical response. A 360-degree rotating turret and a dual-tank fuel system (180 L) give a range of up to 800 km, so teams can stay on task for long-duration missions.

  • Mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle

    ARX NS-II

A high-threat platform for military and special response units. A re-engineered chassis and V-shaped hull deflect blast energy from mines and under-vehicle detonations. Protected to STANAG 4569 Level II, with 1,550 Nm of torque and seating for ten occupants (2+2+6). Suited to peacekeeping, rapid response and high-risk border and convoy operations.

  • Armoured executive and diplomatic vehicle

    Toyota Land Cruiser 300

Built to look like a standard factory SUV, and to give VIPs an invisible layer of protection. VPAM VR7 certified, it has withstood side blasts of 15 kg of TNT from two metres and multiple grenade detonations with no penetration into the cabin. Upgraded heavy-duty brakes and suspension keep handling close to factory level.

Engineered for demanding conditions

Armouring a vehicle properly takes more than ballistic steel. Every platform is built to keep working in heat, dust and rough terrain, not just to look protected.

  • Reinforced cooling systems for extreme heat
  • Upgraded suspension to carry the added armour weight
  • Run-flat tyre systems for emergency mobility
  • Blast-resistant flooring
  • Reinforced pillars, hinges and door frames
  • Full perimeter ballistic overlap, with no weak gaps
  • Heavy-duty braking systems
